Metabolic Code’s integration with Withings enables clients to regularly pull in weight, blood pressure, heart rate, and sleep, for you as a provider to view within their Metabolic Code accounts.

This will enable you as a provider, or organization administrator, to view data inputs from your clients within your Metabolic Code portal via Metrics, and download Reports with aggregated information on a universal, per group, or per client basis.

This integration is available at no cost for our members only at this time. Set up is simple, but needs to be enabled for your account, before any clients can sync their Withings devices.

Request Withings be Enabled for Your Organization  #

If you’d like to enable the Withings integration for your Enterprise account, please let us know using the support form here. Our team will enable it for your account.

Once your account supports the Withings integration, providers can then enable it for their client(s). By default, even if Withings is supported for the account, it is still not available to clients, as there may be clients where this integration would not be desired. 

Turn on Withings for a Client(s) Account #

Before a client can sync their Withings device with the POC, the provider will need to enable the Withing’s setting for the client’s accounts. This can be done in the Journaling Settings on a per client, group, or global basis.

How Clients Can Sync their Withings Device(s) #

When a client logs into the POC from the web platform or the mobile web browser (not the mobile app), they can connect their Withings device in their Integration settings. They will see Withings listed along with other wearable trackers and devices, depending on which have been enabled for their account. 

Clients need to click CONNECT and follow the on-screen prompts to sync their device with Metabolic Code POC. 

The following is what the client will see:

Withings will push the following data into the POC: 

  • Weight
  • Blood Pressure
  • Heart Rate
  • Sleep

How clients can un-sync their Withings devices #

If you would like to turn off the ability for your clients to sync their Withings device with Metabolic Code, you can navigate to your account Settings in POC, and disable “Withings” This can be enabled / disabled on a global, group, and individual client basis. If you have disabled this, Clients will not see the ability to Integrate their Withings account with Metabolic Code when they navigate to Integrations.

Viewing metrics as a provider #

Data will be entered into a client’s Metabolic Code’s Journal as a Metric and visible on your feed and their feed, and in Metrics Graphs (based on your settings). 

As an organization administrator or provider with this integration enabled, you will be able to pull a report of entries, for a specific date range. This will be available to you in the Metrics Report for CSV download, where you will be able to filter data on a per client, per group, and aggregate basis. This will pull a report of all metrics that clients have entered, so if you are looking specifically for Dexcom metrics, you will need to filter this report by the Metric Type. 

Information on the Withings Sync  #

  • Withings will sync data onto Healthie shortly after it is received into Withings (typically within 30 minutes of data being entered into Withings)

  • After your client syncs their Withings device with the POC, entries will take 24 hours to first appear.

  • If there are day lapses between entries, it likely means that the client did not log any entries with their Withings Device, or that Withings did not record the data to their online servers.

  • Weight and other metrics get pulled in if the provider uses a Body+Body composition scale, or any other Within Device as long as the device is linked to the Withings App, and the sync has been enabled with the POC
